Disclaimer-Whoever said, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks", could have easily been referring to me. At the age of 67, with limited computer skills, patience, and with a trait to never complete stuff, I have undertaken the goal of making a web site (never done before) and making Youtube videos (never done before) of our travel adventures. Be patient and kind.

WHO ARE WE?

We are Pat and Debbie. In 2015 Pat retired from 33 years from being an educator, everything from teacher, to counselor, to principal, and plunging toilets in the boys restroom (you would be amazed how often that is required.) Just prior to retiring, Pat and Debbie purchased a 33 foot travel trailer and a Ford Expedition to pull it. Debbie was still working as a medical lab director, so the first year, trips were limited. In 2016, Bob, Debbie's father who was 88 at the time, came to live with us. For the next year plus we began a remodel of our home, starting with Bob's room, which got a total remake of his bathroom and bedroom. Then came the kitchen, another bathroom, new ceiling texture throughout the first floor, new floors, and new lighting. In between remodel jobs, we traveled some but were limited because Debbie was still working full time. She did not want to take off more than a week at a time because it was so hard when she got back to her desk. Actually, we could travel anywhere in the United States we just could not stop and see anything. Finally, Debbie retired in 2018 and travel picked up big time. In fact, two weeks after she retired we went to South Dakota on a 23 day trip. 2019 was even bigger with 80 days of travel. Then came 2020! In January, Bob had an operation and was in a medical facility for 51 days. Two weeks later this thing called Covid hit. For our protection and especially Bob's, we were very safe. In September, 2020, we ventured out for a 39 day adventure. Saw all five national parks in Utah, spent a week in Salt Lake City, a week in Kansas, and ended the adventure with a week in Branson, Missouri with friends from church (something that has been going on long before we started rving.) To finish out 2020, Pat is trying to make a web site which is something he has talked about for a long time and plans to make videos to share our adventures. So that is the rving side of our life...so far!
